Beyonce Calls Faked Pregnancy Rumors 'So Stupid'

'It wasn't hurtful, it was just crazy,' she tells People in the magazine's Most Beautiful issue.

Back in October, Beyoncé shot down a rumor that she was wearing a fake baby bump after an appearance on an Australian talk show. When Beyoncé sat down for the interview, it appeared that the bump deflated, prompting many to wonder if the pop singer was really pregnant or faking it.

Now, months after the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy, Beyoncé is talking to People magazine, about the gossip. "That was crazy. It wasn't hurtful, it was just crazy," she says in the Most Beautiful issue, in which she was named the world's Most Beautiful Woman, TVGuide.com reports. "[I thought] 'Where did they come up with this?' It was a fabric that folded — does fabric not fold? Oh my gosh, so stupid."

The chitchat didn't just bother Beyoncé. Her mother also opened up about the allegations in the interview, adding, "I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months. As a mother, it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous."

In the magazine, out now, Queen B addressed not only the baby bump controversy, but also her commitment to being sexy, even at nine months. "I committed to the end and wore my kitten heels. It makes me laugh thinking about it," she said. "But after many hours of labor, I didn't care how I looked. It was all about the miracle that God gave me — the opportunity to deliver a human being."

Peter Jackson Responds To 'Hobbit' Frame Rate Criticism

Attendees of CinemaCon might not have been fans of "The Hobbit" footage presented in 48 frames per second, but Peter Jackson isn't letting that get him down. In fact, he seems to think that people just haven't gotten used to the new film style. Critics in the movie community seemed to find fault in the [...]

LG opts to focus on Android devices, leaves Windows Phone in the rearview

LG

This should really come as no surprise to many, but LG apparently has decided to put aside hardware for Windows Phone in favor of continuing to bring new Android headsets to the market. Back at Mobile World Congress LG brought nothing to the table except for Android devices, so the writing was on the wall for the Windows Phone folks, but that doesn't soften the blow. LG has only recently been able to turn a profit after seven straight quarters of posting losses, and that could be partially due to their new Android assortment, like the LG Lucid, LG Thrill 4G and the others that have recently hit the market. We know LG has made the right decision here, and we can hope that their dedicated focus on Android devices will lead to even better quality devices, and more.

BBC's Planet Earth returns as a live simulcast next week -- but not in the US (video)

BBC's Planet Earth returns as a live simulcast next week -- but not in the US (video)

For fans of HD and / or nature documentaries, the BBC Planet Earth series is the unquestioned champion, and to provide a proper followup the Brits are improving it the only way they know how: doing it live. What the broadcaster calls its "most ambitions global wildlife series ever" will air simultaneously in 140 countries (more on that bit later) starting Sunday May 6th, then every Thursday and Sunday for three weeks. The plan is to track animals in seven different locations around the world in real time as they struggle for survival and broadcast it all in HD. One segment features Top Gear's Richard Hammond following a pride of lions across southern Kenya, while another will track black bears in Minnesota. The bad news? If you're in the US or Canada you're not on that 140 country list and won't be seeing any of this live. We're not sure if there's time to make this a campaign issue in the 2012 presidential election but we figure that, or at least bugging BBC America (while we're on the subject -- where's our global iPlayer?) is worth a try. Check after the break for a press release with all the details on where and when it is airing, as well as a trailer.

Apple spits out Android option from Chomp app navigator

Apple drops Android search option from Chomp

It's taken a bit longer than we expected, but following Apple's acquisition of app search engine Chomp, the Android option has now been cut out from its homepage. We're now left with the choice between iPhone and iPad categories, alongside existing shortcuts for popular freebies and apps on sale, in a few efforts to cut through Cupertino's 600,000-strong app selection. Hit up the source to give it a run for yourself.
