About us

FlatNav is a cloud based marketplace which helps people who love travelling to find places to stay, hosted by residents, all over the world. The industry we operate in is worth a few billion dollars now and is a pure example of the new and arising era of Collaborative Consumption. We aim to take this model of new consumption to another level by adding aspects of social media within the booking engine and the web portal we have. We are currently in development stage and the project has been outsourced, however the delivery is within a week and our official launch date is March 15th

We have a team of 4 permanent employees (CEO/designer, CTO, Marketing and Communication Manager and a Business Manager) and 2 contract employees. We are now looking for someone who has the vision to create an outstanding design/interface for the user. Our competition is strong and hence we require someone who thinks out of the box and has the passion to create something amazing. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WEB PORTAL ALREADY HAS A DESIGN, HOWEVER WE NEED IT TO BE REVAMPED BEFORE LAUNCH.

Requirements:

Skills
? Young and ambitious and don?t mind working start-up hours
? Have extraordinary attention to detail and a passion for user interface design and end user experience
? Highly proficient and productive with the desire to build high quality, robust web applications that users love
? Enjoy doing everything in a startup environment
? Be a team player and take more responsibility as the company grow.

Technical
? Define and maintain identity of the site
? Translate UX and Product inputs (sketches, flows, wireframes) into hi-fidelity designs
? Take designs through to HTML/CSS for integration by our development team. Master of HTML/CSS
? Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or equivalent)
? Experience of working closely with developers
? Understanding of UX issues on the web, particularly user conversion processes, landing pages and presentation of complex data in a user friendly manner. This is a web portal and a booking engine hence understanding human psychology is important too
? Fluent in English, other European language very beneficial
